COOSANLUIS is a Colombian savings and credit cooperative established in 1966. It provides high-quality financial services, concentrating on the well-being and economic advancement of its members. Over the years, the cooperative has expanded considerably, adjusting to market shifts and incorporating new technologies to enhance its operations and services.
Challenge: Securing Information in Remote Work
Recognizing the growing significance of remote work and the company's transition to this model, COOSANLUIS sought a solution to reduce internal risks.
The move to remote work posed considerable challenges for the cooperative, specifically the need to:
- Prevent Data Leakage: Ensure that vital data remained within the organization and was not shared without permission in a decentralized work setting.
- Oversee Security Practices in Remote Work: Ensure that employees adhered to data security best practices while working remotely.
Although COOSANLUIS was already utilizing Trellix for data loss prevention (DLP), the cooperative needed a more robust solution that offered detailed control and centralized auditing, adaptable to the evolving dynamics of remote work.
Solution: Centralized Audit and Control with Safetica
To address these challenges, COOSANLUIS adopted Safetica. This solution enabled them to:
- Centralized Monitoring: Safetica offers a unified console that allows for the control and auditing of all information-related activities, both within and outside the cooperative.
- Productivity Control: In addition to security, Safetica provides insights into employee productivity, enabling effective management in a remote work setting.
- Regulatory Compliance and Continuous Security: With Safetica, COOSANLUIS has successfully adhered to information security regulations, which are crucial for the financial sector.
Safetica assists us in establishing effective controls and modifying these controls and/or policies over time to meet specific emerging needs.
